Dance of the Watering Cans
While walking through the South Carolina Botanical Garden early this morning, I discovered a group of vividly painted watering cans hanging on hooks from an old, gray and black board fence. From a distance, in shade and poor background light, it appeared that the colorful watering cans were dancing playfully in the darkness. As I moved closer to capture what I had experienced, I intentionally underexposed the shot so that the background would remain virtually black, thereby highlighting and intensifying the magical shapes and colors of the cans.
